South Africa has long been one of the most popular holiday destinations, not only in Africa but the world. The diverse rainbow nation has a lot to offer after all. With something for all ages, South Africa offers a varied range of activities, landscapes, cultures and African wildlife. Another key reason that tourists flock to South Africa in their droves is those three little words:

Value For Money!

  • Budget conscious travellers will get more bang for their buck in destinations where rates are priced in South African Rand as opposed to the US Dollar.
  • Compared to other safari destinations, South Africa also has much better infrastructure so getting to safari camps is easier and cheaper, and rates are lower because most camps have access to established power grids and water systems.
  • Lastly, South Africa has many other types of experiences to enjoy so you can incorporate a few expensive nights on safari into a broader holiday where you are paying regular prices to visit cities, wine regions, coastal towns, mountain ranges and beaches.

With this in mind, the experts at Bench Africa have put together our top special offers in South Africa.

Pioneer for Change

Take part in Pioneer for Change - the perfect opportunity for those who want to roll up their sleeves and make a difference in the world of conservation. On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be met by your guide and taken into Kapama Private Game Reserve for an afternoon game drive before heading to camp. Your accommodation, at Camp Jabulani is the epitome of luxury. Here you will be immersed in style, gastronomic excellence and warm hospitality. This Relais & Châteaux camp was conceptualised and created for one purpose - to support and sustain twelve elephants who, by the hand of fate, had found themselves in the custody of wildlife visionary, Lente Roode. Activities include game drives, visiting their elephants, enjoying sundowners or simply relaxing around the camp.

On your second day you will be transferred to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre to assist with the day to day operation, learning how the centre helps with the preservation of endangered species and working side by side with conservationists and rangers whose full time job it is to protect the wildlife in South Africa. Once the experience is complete, a “Pioneer for Change” certificate will be issued to each participant to endorse their efforts as volunteers for the day. At the end of the day you will be transferred to camp, where you will enjoy the rest of your stay.

The price includes four nights in five star accommodation, all meals and local drinks on safari, return airport transfers (Hoedspruit Airport), game viewing activities in a 4X4 safari vehicle and an English speaking guide.
