Bench Africa have been informed by the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority of the imposition of Concession Fees for accommodation in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Consequently, the rates for the use of accommodation at the Conservation Area namely – Ngorongoro Serena, Ngorongoro Sopa, Ngorongoro Wildlife, Ngorongoro Crater lodge as well as all other properties inside the conservation area, will be revised.
Please note the rate revision is for the use of accommodation and not for the services rendered as a Tour Operator. The fees will be paid to the Authorities for and on behalf of the lodges whose accommodation is being used.
Please be informed that it is not a new fee imposed, but differing amounts were being paid by different hotels. NCAA decided to make it formal and equal for all lodges/camps and this is why there will now have to be some revisions to pricing.
We are currently waiting to be informed by our partners in Tanzania with regards to these updated prices and will update you about the increased fees at each lodge once they have confirmed these to us. At present we do not know what the lodges were already paying so please bear with us while we retrieve this information.
The Concession fee is effective from 1st December 2017 and will affect ALL customers travelling after this date.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to any of our customers affected but unfortunately this is beyond our control.
